Do I need to disclose my illness?

No. This is a social group. No information is required to join and no one will ever force you to talk about your illness.

Can I talk to someone if I need help?

Yes. You can always speak to someone and we can refer you to a professional if you desire.

Is membership open to all faiths?

Of course. We welcome everyone.

Is transportation provided?

Tikvah serves members in neighborhoods throughout the greater Philadelphia area.  In 2024 we had members and program participants from four regions which are the Pennsylvania communities of Bucks County,  Center City, Delaware County, Montgomery County, also Wilmington, Delaware.

Tikvah facilitates, on average, one community wide event per month that brings members together for cultural programs.  Van transportation is provided for these for those in need from central pick up locations in neighborhoods which are generally as follows:

  • Center City Philadelphia
  • Eastern Montgomery County
  • Main Line
  • Northeast Philadelphia

For neighborhood or special interest focused events members are encouraged to attend programs close to where they live and to make their own transportation arrangements.  To the extent possible, Tikvah programs are arranged at venues that are accessible via mass transit.

Is there any cost involved?

We charge a small annual membership fee and a per event charge based on the event.
