Klezmer Jam & Concert@Kaiserman

A Musical Afternoon with Dr. Hankus Netsky

Back by (very) popular demand, we are pleased to host world-renowned musical artist, author and composer, Dr. Hankus Netsky. Founder of the Klezmer Conservatory Band, Hankus regularly collaborates with Itzhak Perlman and is largely credited for his role in the renaissance of interest in Yiddish music.

3pm – Klezmer Jam — We invite you to bring your instrument for a unique workshop will be taught in the oral (aural) tradition. We’ll progress from singing to playing as we study the basics of klezmer sound, phrasing, and ornamentation, and the traditional role of each instrument in a klezmer ensemble.

4pm – Benefit Concert — Sit back and enjoy the music, or get up and dance to joyous music!

$10 for Tikvah Members
